Factory Sample Bobbed 5.1 Gallon Gas Tank

Gas tank has a left side petcock opening, and has a fuel capacity of 5.1 gallons. Tank accepts a right side cap, and left side fuel gauge. For carburetor models.
The center to center distance of the front and rear mount is 20". The thread size for the hole next to the petcock hole measures 5/16"-24 *NOTE: Tank requires sanding and primer prior to painting. Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of petcock. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean, condition, and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Factory sample is a brand new production part but may have imperfections in the finished surface. Check threaded and bearing holes for excess plating before installation. There are no physical defects, such as cracks or holes, there will be cosmetic imperfections only. May have dings, dents, bent tabs and/or surface rust. Fuel tubes will need prepwork before paint. *NOTE: UPS may consider this part as packaged packaged "oversize" for shipment, as compared to the actual weight, which will result in higher shipping costs.
