WR narrow type 45" 3 gallon gas tank set holds gas on both sides features raw finish. Tank set has 2 3/8" NPT fittings on each side, for gas lines. Tank uses two vented gas caps, which are not included.
WR narrow type 45" 3 gallon gas tank set holds gas on both sides features raw finish. Tank set has 2 3/8" NPT fittings on each side, for gas lines. Tank uses two vented gas caps, which are not included.
Does not accept reserve fuel shut off rod or instrument dash panel assemblies. Both sides are intended for gas but can be modified to use gas on the left and oil on the right. This application requires oil feed, vent, return and oil return pipe kit available separately. Right side for oil will require oil a stand pipe with 3/8" NPT outside and 1/4" NPT inside thread. Pipe extension must be within 1/2" top of the tank. The nipples on the tank measures 3/8". Fittings in the bottom of the tank are 1/8" NPT, for use with gas petcocks or fittings. *NOTE: Order mount kit, 1936-46 shift gate, related plugs and caps separately. Before installation or painting, check gas tank for any flaws. Do not grind or sand seams or welded joints. Clean the inside of the tank and pressure test. Check petcock openings, ensuring petcock can be easily installed. Use proper hardware for the installation process. Please install tank with fittings in frame with motor installed before painting.

| Tech Note | Suggested to use with #40-0283 WR Gas Tank Fittings. Suggested to use with #49-0040 or #49-1317 45 Shifter Gate. WR style gas tank set may require installer to indent bottom of tank for head or other clearances required. Suggested to use with #38-0973 Tank Mount Tab Set Raw, if builder wants to update to rubber mounted tanks. Original tabs must be removed and new ones welded in place. Suggested to use with #40-0689 WR Oil Line Kit. *CAUTION: Before painting or fitting check seam welds for stress marks or possible flaws that would allow tanks to leak. | |||
