V-Fire 1.4 Kw Electric Start Kit

4-speed electric starter kit is for equipping OE primary systems with an electric starter.
For electric starter cases with an original style cast aluminum inner primary cover. The starter ring gear includes a 1.4 kW update OE type starter with integral Bendix drive and the starter shaft bolt is M5 x .08 and measures 3.5" long. Mounts in existing starter port hole on the cast primary. Replaces entire OEM starter system, Presto Lite and Hitachi systems. Replacement starter is OE type, available from H-D dealers and after market in chrome and black finish. *NOTE: Requires original cast aluminum primary and a wrap around oil tank. *NOTE: Recommended to use SMC brand oil tank on swingarm frames, available separately. Mount tank with modifications required for final fitting of tank for required clearance. Utilize existing clutch drum with stock ring gear attached.
