Tail lamp base fits all beehive style tail lamps and is zinc plated thru a process called iridite.
Order wires and lamp socket separately. *NOTE: The 2 screw studs are 1/4" x 24 thread, 4 side holes for body. *NOTE: Iridate refers to the chromate conversioncoating on zinc plating to avoid corrosion. Zinc plating with chromate can also be used to improve adhesion of secondary paint opertaions. Zinc plating with black chromate offers better corrosion resistance and anti-peeling characteristics than black oxide. Rust, which would usually get under the paint films and life from the steel, will be inhibited from forming because of zinc plating. Application can be by rush, swab, dip or spray producing coatings ranging from clear to dark yellow.
